The beautifully crafted Babydoll wines come from some of New Zealand’s most celebrated wine regions - Marlborough and Hawke's Bay. With sustainability at the heart of everything they do the wineries and vineyards are focused on low impact practices to ensure they are making as little impact on the land as possible. Each one of the Baby Doll wines are created to reflect the regional varietal characters from where the grapes are grown, harvested and made into the Babydoll wines that we all love.

The Baby Doll sheep live beneath the vines, nibbling on grass and weeds and giving their name to this delicious wines. Small but mighty, they’re wonderful groundskeepers. Yes, they need a little help to keep the mowing going. But it’s all for the good of the grapes.

Winery Tasting Notes

Baby Doll Sauvignon Blanc has a lifted nose with fresh notes of passionfruit, citrus and blackcurrant leaf. The sweet fruit characters on the palate and fresh acidity combine to create an expressive and attractive Sauvignon Blanc. This wine is beautiful with fresh seafood and salads.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

Babydoll wines come from New Zealand’s leading grape growing regions, Marlborough and Hawke’s Bay. Everything we do in the winery and out in the vineyards is low impact, focused on sustainable winemaking methods. All our wines are crafted to capture distinctive varietal characters and complexity creating the pure and intense flavours our Babydoll wines are known for.

Our award-winning Babydoll wines are sustainable and vegan friendly, crafted from NZ’s leading wine growing regions.

Marlborough

Based at the North Eastern end of New Zealand’s South Island, Marlborough is one of New Zealand’s sunniest and driest areas, providing a climate of warm days and cool nights.

This means we get a long, slow ripening period and fruit that is fresh, clean and intense with acidity levels that are naturally higher. Marlborough is known internationally for producing a truly unique expression of Sauvignon Blanc. More recently, the region has also become famous for the ripe, fruit forward flavours of its Pinot Noir and aromatics.

Hawke's Bay

Hawke’s Bay, on the east coast of the North Island, is New Zealand’s oldest wine region. The region has an uninterrupted winegrowing tradition stretching back to 1851.

It is home to more vineyards than any New Zealand wine region except Marlborough. The long sunshine hours in Hawke’s Bay make it the ideal place to grow later ripening grape varieties like Merlot, but is also renowned for white varieties such as Chardonnay.  The terroir in Hawke’s Bay typically creates fruit that can be crafted into wines of great finesse and elegance.
