Winery Tasting Notes

Appearance

Deep ruby to garnet with youthful purple highlights and good colour density.

Nose

Expressive aromas of ripe raspberry, plum and blackberry layered with licorice, warm spice, earth and subtle floral lift. There are also notes of kirsch, white pepper and dark chocolate, giving it classic Barossa GSM personality.

Palate

Rich and plush through the mid-palate with dark cherry, blackberry compote and ripe plum fruit. Grenache brings juicy red fruit and perfume, Shiraz adds body and richness, while Mataro contributes savoury spice and structure. The wine is generous but avoids becoming jammy thanks to fresh acidity and restrained oak handling.
