Easygoing, approachable

I’ll admit, I don’t often reach for Moscato but I gave this one its moment in the glass. A gentle fizz opens into a floral bouquet and ripe stone fruit like peach, and pear. Sweetness leads, but soft acidity keeps it lively. There’s a surprising texture on the mid-palate, and the clean finish leaves just enough fruit to linger. Not my usual pick, but for lovers of lighter, sweeter styles, this will hit the right note. Easygoing, approachable, and made for sunny afternoons. Think garden party in a bottle.

A glassful of fun

The target market for this Oxford Landing Moscato will be licking their chops. A glassful of fun with a gentle spritz, it tastes exactly like those black muscat grapes you jam into your mouth during the summer months. Loaded with musk, Turkish delight, lychee and some mango, the residual sweetness is balanced well enough without taking charge. Use it as a mixer in those cool summer alternative cocktails, but I suggest that you partially freeze three-quarters of it, shake it hard and serve as a slushie for the win.

Pale green in colour with a hint of gold. Bursting with fresh, grapey, Muscat fruit notes including jasmine, turkish delight, musk stick and rose petal. The palate is delicate and refreshing, flowing with tropical fruit flavours. The residual fruit sweetness is balanced by fresh citrus acidity and a subtle hint of spritz on the finish

Oxford Landing Estates was established in 1958 on the banks of the mighty Murray River in South Australia amidst bountiful sunshine, vivid blue skies and plenty of red Riverland soil.

From planting vines to making wines, Oxford Landing Estates takes great pride in their people – some having spent their whole life on the Murray. They are part of a community who are unashamedly passionate about the vineyards, grapes and working together to ensure the wine going into the bottle is what they envisaged.

“Our group of dedicated vineyard staff live on-site and nearby. It’s their care and attention to detail that sets the basis for Oxford Landing Estates wine quality,” says Vineyard Manager Robert ‘Fred’ Strachan.
