The purple-red colour makes light of the vintage, the red and black fruits of the palate likewise, with cherry, plum, blackberry and blackcurrant all in play; the tannins are soft, the oak integrated. Colour

The Graeme's Blend 2011 displays a bright red purple colour.

Aroma

The aroma is complex with red and black fruit, floral and spice notes.

Palate

These flow on to the powerful yet balanced palate which demonstrates juicy primary fruit and dark berries, fine tannins engaging length and great structure.

Cellaring

Drink now - 2021. Should be enjoyed from a Decanter.

Winery Profile

Originally established in 1974 by Graeme Leith and Sue Mackinnon, Passing Clouds at Bendigo is in a low rainfall area and the site was chosen to make great red wine with the lowest chemical inputs possible. No pesticides or insecticides are ever used in the vineyard. These practices are followed in our new cool climate vineyard at Musk, just outside of Daylesford in the Macedon Ranges. It is currently producing stunning pinot, chardonnay and sparkling. The winery has consistently produced medal winning wines with deep colours, rich flavours and a unique structure with excellent mouthfeel that place them with the very best Australian red wines. For instance Graeme’s Blend 2005 rates 93 points in James Halliday’s Wine Companion.
