Winery Tasting Notes

Appearance

Deep, opaque purple to inky black with a youthful rim—classic Barossa density.

Nose

Intense and layered: blackberry, blueberry and boysenberry with dark chocolate, mocha, liquorice and baking spice. Graphite, ironstone and subtle smoky oak add complexity.

Palate

Full-bodied and powerful with concentrated black fruits, plum compote and dark cherry. Secondary notes of spice, leather, coffee and earthy savouriness unfold with aeration. Rich but structured, showing depth rather than overt sweetness.

Texture & Structure

Dense and velvety with a signature inky/oily mouthfeel. Fine but firm graphite-like tannins provide structure, supported by balanced acidity. Built for long ageing.

Finish

Long, persistent and savoury—dark fruit, chocolate and spice linger with fine tannic grip and mineral edge.
