WINEMAKERS COMMENTS
The special selection of grapes from the ‘Chapel’ block and lightly toasted tight grained barrels have been given an extended period of barrel ageing to yield a very rich and intensely fruity wine.
Time in the bottle will see even more complexity with the development of even more cedar, chocolate and violet like characters.

Winery Tasting Notes
COLOUR
Crimson almost black. It will most probably deposit a harmless crust after a year or so in the bottle.
NOSE
Blueberry and red berry fruits, toasty/chary oak character and classic Cigarbox in a very complex and lifted aroma. There are hints of cedar and ‘dark chocolate’ .
PALATE
Blackberry and stalky varietal characters dominate the palate over a background of sweet vanillin oak. There is perceived sweetness from the lovely ripe fruit flavours which is nicely balanced by soft tannins. The structure has great persistence and richness from an extended time in barrel.
