Winery Tasting Notes

Appearance

Deep, opaque purple-black with a dense core and a vivid garnet rim. Brilliant clarity and richness of colour show the wine’s power and concentration.

Nose

Intense and complex aromatics of blackberry, black plum and macerated cherry. Layers of dark chocolate, espresso, vanilla pod and baking spices. Subtle hints of violet, licorice, graphite and warm Barossa earth add depth and class.

Palate

Full-bodied and richly textured with concentrated dark fruits—blackberry, mulberry and plum compote. Saturated and mouthfilling, supported by notes of dark cocoa, mocha, sweet spice and charry oak. Powerful yet polished throughout.

The Schild name has a long history in the Barossa, dating back to 1952 when BenSchild purchased the Three Springs Farm property in Rowland Flat and settled withhis family. Today, second and third generation vigneron’s work side by side tosolidify Schild Estate’s reputation, built on its commitment to translating theunique tapestry of its vineyards into wines that speak of honesty and drinkability.
