Winery Tasting Notes
This outstanding drop is a big, purposeful red oozing in blackberry fruit flavours teamed up with hints of raspberry, vanilla cream, cinnamon and clove. Smoky tannin and tarry notes give added depth and complexity. A great wingman (or woman) to osso bucco or any hearty winter dish.
APPEARANCE
This wine has an intense red colour with vivid purple hues reflecting the power of the vintage.
AROMA
On the nose, aromas of rich dark fruits fill the glass, supported by a hint of black pepper and winter spice.
PALATE
A generous palate with characters of black cherry and dark chocolate. All of this is supported by opulent, mouth filling tannins which lead to a long finish and plush mouthfeel.

After 20 years in vineyard development, Thorn-Clarke is without doubt one of the most exciting Barossa Valley brands to enter the market in some time. The name Thorn-Clarke derives literally from the relationship between two long time Barossa Families. Founders David and Cheryl Clarke (Nee Thorn) work with their son and daughter, Sam and Nicole, in this family-orientated business. With four family-owned vineyards in the Barossa and Eden Valley, Thorn-Clarke produces wines across three ranges (Sandpiper, Shotfire and William Randell).
