Story

The life of the party, the instigator of frivolity, the undying entertainer. A modern-day jester gathers friends around regularly to eat and drink well, and much like their medieval predecessors, reminds us that life shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

Winemaking

Harvested in the cool of the night. Destemmed, crushed and pressed to stainless steel tank with minimal skin contact time. Cold settled for five days, before racking and inoculation. Fermented at a cool 12ºC over two weeks with no malolactic fermentation. After ferment the wine was heat and cold stabilised and sterile filtered for bottling.

Mundulla Vineyard, Limestone Coast

The site is characterised by red sands over limestone, and the region is known for providing a long ripening period, allowing subtle flavour development and finesse in the wines.

Winery Tasting Notes

Generous and fleshy with soft acidity, displaying beurre bosc pear, golden delicious apple, yellow fleshed plum, peach and crisp pineapple. Hints of cardamom and subtle grassiness provide intrigue along with delicate mineral texture, all wrapped up in a smooth finish.
