Elegant, creamy texture

94 Points

Pale tea rose with a very fine bead. Strawberry and redcurrant fruit. Some meaty pinot notes under. The palate is the key here - elegant, creamy texture, some fine phenolic grip that adds structure and great length. The finish is dry, savoury and refreshing.

Halliday Wine Companion 2020, 16 Aug 2019

Released with the limited edition packaging artwork entitled: “Emerging Anew” by Jamin, the local Tasmanian artist. Winemaking duties have now been taken over by Jennifer Doyle. Pale salmon hue. Cherry Danish and strawberry house cake notes with leafy rose petal, ruby grapefruit and a little pink apple. Pillowy mousse with creamy weight and a textural, chalky tail. Lingering charcuterie and red fruit richness with refreshing bite. Fun and class.

Winery Tasting Notes

A vibrant sparkling Rose showcasing the beguiling aromatics inherent to Tasmanian sparkling Pinot Noir. There are delicious, captivating aromas of strawberries and cream, rose petals, Turkish delight and fresh brioche. The palate is creamy, textured and rich while retaining an elegant vibrancy and freshness. A wine full of 'joie de vivre' that brings the delights of summer into the glass at any time.

Winery Profile

Jansz Tasmania vineyard lies in the Tamar Valley in the heart of the Pipers River region in north eastern Tasmania. With a mantle of red basalt soils and a cool climate moderated by the proximity of Bass Strait, the Jansz Tasmania vineyards are ideal for allowing grapes to ripen slowly and develop the lingering acidity essential to produce a premium sparkling wine. Jansz was Tasmania’s first sparkling wine to be made according to the traditional méthod champenoise and, as the only Tasmanian specialist solely devoted to the art of sparkling winemaking, Jansz Tasmania has since come to describe the technique used in creating each of their definitive wines as Méthode Tasmanoise.

A hint of strawberries and cream adds to the appeal

92 Points

Everything about this Tasmanian wine is right. A faint blush colour, beautiful floral lift on the nose and lingering palate with a fine thready bead. A hint of strawberries and cream adds to the appeal.

A wine bred to please

92 Points

A pale, blush pink blend of pinot noir (77 per cent) and chardonnay (23 per cent) that spends a minimum of 18 months on tirage. A fragrant and fresh bouquet leads into a strawberry-infused palate that is both well balanced and long. The dosage has been the masterstroke for a wine bred to please.
